Gas Infrastructure Projects
Hollcon completed the upgrade of 36.5 kilometers of low-pressure distribution mains and associated services for Comdain Infrastructure on behalf of APA Group.
A large portion of the works was undertaken using insertion meaning the existing low-pressure gas mains were used as a conduit to carry the new high pressure (HP) poly main.
However, where circumstances dictatedHP main was also installed using open cut and directional drilling methods.
Alderley Stage 1 and 2 Moorooka Stage 1 2018-2020
Project consisted of the upgrade of 17 kilometres of low-pressure distribution mains and associated services on Brisbane’s south side.
A large portion of the works was undertaken using insertion, meaning the existing low-pressure gas mains were used as a carrier pipes for the new high pressure PE main.
However, where circumstances dictated new PE main was also installed using open cut and directional drilling methods.
Moorooka gas mains replacement Comdain/APA group 2019-2020
Project consisted of the upgrade of 10 kilometres of low-pressure distribution mains and associated services on Brisbane’s north side.

Construction and commissioning of a new DN 110PE gas main to Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves.
The gas main was installed by a method of open trenching which consisted of 330 metres.
Hollcon worked closely with local businesses and residents to minimise disruptions, key challenges included traffic and pedestrian management in a highly urbanised area.
Howard smith wharves gas mains extension Diona/APA group June 2018
Hollcon was chosen by Codmah and Diona to construct DN 100 and DN 50 high pressure steel gas mains and services on behalf of APA Group.
Works included horizontal directional drill (HDD) and open trenching techniques.
The projects combined were managed to ensure works were completed as safely and efficiently as possible.
All projects were completed within the required timeframe and to the satisfaction of the clients.
QLD Steel ProjectsRockhampton Brendale & Pinkenba 2018-2019
Hollcon was engaged to work with Codmah in early 2020 on behalf of Zinfra to relocate 607 meters of DN 150 steel gas main by means of open cut trenching and HDD.
The Griffith project presented a number of risks and challenges that were effectively managed by Hollcon and Codmah with careful planning.
Due to Hollcon’s high standard of work Hollcon was approached by Codmah to help install the pipe work for both the Horsley Park and Lidcombe intelligent pigging facility projects.
The scope of works for these projects included excavation, complexed pipe fabrication, pipe coating and wrapping.
NSW Steel Projects Griffith Horsley Park & Lidcombe 2020

Howard Smith Wharves 2018
Construction of new PE mains by means of insertion, direct bury & upgrade distribution mains with an MAOP less that 1050kPa due to replacing defective main in the distribution network. Replace existing mains & services by insertion of new PE pipe or by direct burial to enable pressure upgrade of the distribution network and tie into existing network to enable an upgraded supply to be introduced to the renewed section.
Wilston gas mains replacement APA group 2021
The scope of this project included the relocation of 254m of DN 100 API 5L X52 PSL2 and 6m of DN 50 mains as well as the relocation of 30m of DN 63 PE along Queen street Southport.
Queen street Southport Steel and PE gas relocation APA Group 2021
Hollcon has an ongoing contract for reinstatements in Southeast Queensland for the supply of concrete reinstatement services and supply and placement of turf for Queensland Gas Networks on behalf of APA Group.

Scope of works included demolition of existing pit walls, extension of foundation rebuild pit walls and placement of new DRS lid.
DRS pit extension APA group 2022
Construction of 1980m of DN110PE from Cooper Rd, St Lucia to UQ St Lucia to supply the new sustainable futures precinct at the St Lucia Campus.
This challenging project included eighteen HDD crossings ,open excavation and lay working both day and night shift in a highly urbanised area.
UQ St Lucia gas mains extention APA group 2021
Project included the relocation of 815m of steel DN100 API 5L X52 PSL2 class 150 gas main as well as 465m of PE main relocation and installation of new DRS.

Water And Waste Infrastructure Projects
Hollcon have successfully undertaken and delivered various diameter water projects for Diona on behalf of QUU in the Brisbane metro area.
Projects consisted of methods such as exhume and relay, new line open cut and pipe bursting techniques. Installing PE, PVC and DICL pipe within scheduled shut down time frames and achieving project milestones.
Particular safety considerations for these projects included removal and disposal of asbestos. Community and stakeholder engagement was key to the successful management of live traffic, pedestrians and residents with constant community updates.
Various Burst Main Replacement 2018-2020
Our scope for this project included the installation of 5 kilometres of DN 375 and DN 450 PVC pipe including the installation of inline flanged isolation valves, air valves, scour valves and associated concrete thrust blocks.

Civil And Drainage Infrastructures Projects
Hollcon was engaged by Diona to deliver an over ground sewer creek crossing between sewer manholes on behalf ofLogan Water Alliance.
This challenging project involved the construction of three support pillars for the enveloper crossing the creek. Careful excavation was carried out around existing sewer main and three new manholes were constructed.
There were a number of environmental considerations for this project which were implemented to highest standard by Hollcon.

Electrical Conduit Infrastructure Projects
constructed a 1980m of 110HDPE carrier pipe from Cooper Rd, St Lucia to Queensland University to connect the new sustainable futures precinct at the St Lucia Campus on behalf of APA Group.
Various Burst Main Replacement 2018-2020
Hollcon’s experience extends to installing conduits and pits for the power and communication industry. The company engaged with Diona NSW to install a bank of six power conduits in Penrith on behalf of Ausconnex.
Construction tasks had to be carefully planned on the site with experienced excavation crews at the core of all tasks being completed. The company was then approached by J & P Richardson to install various electrical conduits through South East Queensland on behalf of Energex.
The conduit installations mainly consisted of road crossing were a horizontal directional drill was not possible. Careful planning, service locating and vacuum excavation ensured that Hollcon could deliver the projects safely.

The company has completed a number of successful drainage projects providing quality and cost-effective drainage solutions.
We are skilled at managing flood damage repairs as well as improving existing drainage infrastructure.
We also offer an extensive range of concrete and civil construction services ranging from concrete footpath and curb and channel works to road asphalting, earthworks and park projects.

Upgrade works to the Boonah and Gatton STP which included construction of a new discharge into Teviot Brook. Newley constructed pipe alignments and catchment pits along the Urban Utilities treatment plant sites.

Construction of new pigging Facilities at Horsley Park and Lidcombe on the Sydney Primary Main DN550 Pipeline. Project included fabrication and installation of bypass and new above ground launcher and receiver as well as associated civil works
